ABOUT

It’s an opportunity to step in front of the camera and recognize who you are right now. Not just how you look, but who you are becoming. Confident. Independent. On the edge of something new.

I describe my approach as emotionally driven, lifestyle-focused portraiture. While a beautiful photo has its place, an image filled with genuine emotion tells a story.

A senior session is that pause.

Your story.

Photography, to me, is about intention.

I create senior portraits rooted in who you are right now. Yes, your family will treasure these images. But they are created for you first.

I want you to see yourself in a new way. Confident. Capable. On the edge of something big. I want your images to capture this moment of becoming...the space between who you’ve been and who you’re about to be.

Senior year is a turning point. It deserves to be documented with purpose.

You may walk in a little unsure. You’ll walk out standing taller.

Twenty six years ago, I was a young, new mom, ready to take the leap and start my own photography business.

My start in photography wasn’t glamorous. It actually began with my dad spending a lucky day at Ho-Chunk Casino and coming home a little flush. He knew I was serious about this dream and handed me the money I needed to buy my very first professional camera, a Mamiya 645 film camera.

I slapped a soft focus filter on that lens (how very 90s of me) and just like that, I was off and running.

What started as a leap of faith turned into a career built on connection, creativity, and believing in people before they fully believe in themselves.

My superpower is helping seniors feel comfortable in their own skin and confident in their own story — right before they step into their next big chapter.

I am a mom to 3 with a 15 year spread from the oldest to the youngest. As of 2022 I am also a Grandma (Gigi) to the sweetest baby boy.

I am a full-on INFP (Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Perceiving) personality which I believe really helps me in this work. Mediators are sensitive, creative, perceptive, caring, loyal, value personal growth, are open minded, dedicated and hard working.

I've driven the entire Mother Road (aka Route 66) from start to finish. It starts in Chicago and ends in Santa Monica. It's a beautiful way to see the country and I highly recommend it to everyone I know!
